Twenty years ago, the first Harvest Moon video game was released. Perhaps in part to commemorate that anniversary, Natsume has announced that a new entry into the series will be coming out this year. The game will be called Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, and it will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and the PC.
"Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will set itself apart from other Harvest Moon titles with its depth. We set out to create a SNES-style nostalgic game with deep and meaningful characters and events, and we are excited to have our fans play it at E3 and tell us what they think!" Natsume president and CEO Hiro Maekawa said. Yes, if you're at E3 this year, you can try out the new Harvest Moon game at the Natsume booth for both the Switch and the PC.
But wait, there's more! To further celebrate Harvest Moon's anniversary Natsume will be re-releasing three previous Harvest Moon titles: Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition and Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland for PS4, and Harvest Moon 64 for Wii U. Needless to say, it's shaping up to be a big year for Harvest Moon fans.
